In this video we will be learning how to join Google Classroom from home. Step 1 login to Gmail. The first step is to log into the student's School Gmail account. All the students at Melbourne have a similar format for their email. It is the following: first name of the student underscore symbol. This symbol can found in this area of the keyboard and can be used by pressing the shift key on the keyboard at the same time as the underscore symbol when pressed at the same time the underscore symbol appear the next step is last name of the student if the student has two last names you may need to use both after the last name that simple this symbol can be found on the keyboard in this area of the keyboard and can be used by pressing the shift key on the keyboard at the same time as the at symbol pressed at the same time that at symbol will appear the final part of the email address is the following my abc USD . org for example if a student's name is John Ramos their email address would be John underscore dramas at my ABC USC. Org once you have done that you can click next it will then request your password for all students it is their birth date in the format four digits for year two digits for month two digits for day for example is John Ramos birthdate is 01 1 mm date then his password would be 2008 0 1 0 1 once you have entered the correct password you can click next step to access Google classroom the second step on accessing Google Classroom is to open the Google Waffle which is the gray 9 small crate boxes that you find on the top right corner of your browser when you are using Gmail when you press the Google Waffle you will find the Google Classroom icon please Panet once you press on it you will be able to tell if your student has joined any classes if your student has not joined his teachers classroom this area will be bling if that is so we can continue to log your student into Google classroom by pressing the add sign on the top right by the Google Waffle State press join class you will then see a note that tells you to ask your teacher for the class code and enter it fortunately all teachers at Melbourne Elementary have already provided their Google Classroom codes on the Melbourne website now we will show you in the next step how to access your students Google Classroom codes step 3 find your teachers Google Classroom code the third step is to find your teachers code on the school website please open another browser on the top right corner where you the plus sign wants open please type Melbourne vs. Us this will allow you to access the school website once the website has been keyed in please press enter once you are on the homepage of Melbourne Elementary go to the academics tab then select your student's grade level under the grade-level tabs you will find a document with online information for each teacher which includes Google Classroom codes let's say your student to send tender and his teacher is Miss Lopez her class code is found in this area once you have found the Google Classroom code for the class of your student you can move on to the next step step four join Google Classroom once you have found a Google Classroom code for your students class you can enter that code to join the Google classroom in the other tab we had been working on here the fourth step is to enter the code here after entering the code please press join you have now success join two students Google Classroom thank you for helping us as together we work to serve all our scholars.
